09/15/2003: TotemCash joins ASACP
Paris - As part of her European trip which climaxed at the INHOPE.org conference in Luxembourg, Joan Irvine, the executive director of Adult Sites Against Child Pornography stopped in to say hi to TotemCash in Paris.
Over lunch, Joan spoke to us about the ongoing efforts of the organisation to end child pornography on the internet. Her participation at the INHOPE.org was a real stepping stone for ASACP, as it allowed her to setup working relationships with other Internet hotliners and to show the attendees and all the members of the INHOPE organisation that the entirety of the adult online industry was fully committed in it’s quest to end child pornography on the internet and best positioned strategically to lead to battle.
We also discussed the situation in Europe concerning the fight against child pornography on the internet and of what needs to be done to track down and punish those profiting from it. Joan explained that ASACP was in the process of automating their spider tracking system which will make site alerts, inquiries and investigation activities much quicker and more efficient for everyone involved.
The whole team at TotemCash would like to thank Joan for her visit and for the amazing work she does in representing the industry as a whole. We feel it is extremely important to be part of the fight against child pornography and are thus, proud to announce that TotemCash will be joining ASACP in their important fight.

08/06/2003: Use personalities to push your image!
Have you been thinking about how to make your mark in the business? About what will make you stand out from the thousands of others trying to stand out just like you?
Well, many companies in this position think about linking their company’s image or product to that of well known celebrities in the hope of better brand recognition and increased sales. In the adult online business, both porn stars and playmates, past and present, are often linked to products and sites to help them sell, and guess what? It works!
A lot of people knock the word ‘image’. Ok, so maybe some people put too much importance on it sometimes, but let’s face it, image is extremely important in an industry like this. Linking your company or product to a well known star gives your image a certain power and stature, and instils a deeper confidence in your product among surfers. People want to see faces they recognise, girls they desire. If your site or product features a personality which they relate to, then you’re on to a winner.
Just like on TV when you see your favorite star drinking a beer or driving a certain make of car, you say stuff to yourself like “I got to get me one of those” and “if it’s good enough for him, it’s good enough for me”. People like to compare themselves to certain famous people. They often see the person they’d like to be (or the person they’d like to sleep with ;0) in their favourite personality. This is why using these personalities taps into the subconscious of consumers worldwide.
So if you’ve got the cash to splash out on a shoot with one or two of the net’s hottest stars, then go for it! The number of guys who’ll pay to see new photos, videos or desktop animations of their favorite star is amazing. For example, since we filmed Aria Giovanni, Nikki Nova, Anna Marie Goddard and Sunny Leone for VirtuaGirl2, the response from surfers has been unbelievable! Our webmasters know that promoting stars like these is a sure cash maker; I’d recommend webmasters to give it a try!
Linking the image of a star to your company or product is just one more great way to increase your revenue. If you’re a webmaster, get those stars on your site and just look at the increase in traffic you’ll get.
